What I like about Michael's teaching style is that he makes a point to know your name from day 1. He is incredibly encouraging throughout class and he gently comes around at key points to adjust our alignment-my joints are very thankful for this! He breaks down complicated, intimidating poses into digestible morsels so that I leave each class feeling proud of the new poses that I've learned. Most importantly, he guides each movement in a very present, reflective way. A subtle spirituality is woven throughout the class, not just as bookends to the poses.

All of our classes on the regular schedule are drop-in classes. Please feel free to come to any time that works for you. Arrive about 10 minutes early to sign a waiver and pay for class.....no pre-registration is needed.

Hi David,
Your attire should be flexible, so you can comfortably split your legs forward, back and side to side without any binding. In the beginning, you might find that you sweat during your practice, and therefore, long sleeves or pants made from a wicking material are ideal....shorts and tanktops mean you'll end up with a soggy mat that increases the likelihood of slipping. I also recommend that your clothing not be too baggy. Teachers need to be able to see the alignment of your spine and hips, and any time you turn upside down a baggy shirt will fall into your face. Your clothing doesn't need to be super-clingy, just not so baggy as to become cumbersome.

Let us know if you have any other questions! ~Richelle
